Living as if This Moment Matters Starts Here

This Moment is like a drop of water falling on a still lake.

Me… writing this… matters.

You… reading this… matters.

Every moment — and the thoughts, words and actions within —¬†matters.

This moment is like a drop of water falling on a still lake, causing ripples that will go on beyond what the eye can see.

For a number of reasons, though, we miss many moments in life — or we miss the opportunity to take advantage of them, or to “invest” them for good.

Perhaps it’s because…

a. We’re overwhelmed.

b. We’re fatigued.

c. We’re busy trying to get there (which will surely be better than here).

d. All of the above (and then some).

So what we can we do about it?

Well, we have to make a decision to make a change, to go against the hectic, frantic pace that life and work will inevitably try to pull us into. To decide that yes, this moment matters.

And that begins with an awareness that life always happens right here, right now.

As Jon Kabat-Zinn says, “Each moment missed is a moment unlived.”

Would you like to live in more of the moments of your life?

I’m learning how to be more present for more the moments in my life, and I’d love for you to join me on the journey.¬†I am firmly convinced that living with an awareness of the fact that “this moment matters” is the key to greater happiness, fulfillment, peace, success, productivity — everything we want. It truly affects every aspect of our lives.

This moment is another opportunity to move closer to creating the life you want to live. As a matter of fact, this moment is another opportunity to LIVE the life you want to live. The past is gone. The future is still to come. This moment is right now. Let’s make the most of it!
